In the coverage following LA Gov Bobby Jindal's response to President Obama's faux State of the Union, MSNBC's Chris Matthews made an off-color comment. Surprise! I'm not referring to the "oh god" moment as Jindal approached the microphone.
I'm instead referring to Chris Matthews characterizing the GOP giving Jindal the duty to speak as "outsourcing." As much as Jindal sounds like Kenneth from NBC's 30 Rock, let us not forget that Bobby is Indian.
Outsourcing to the Indian guy? Tasteful. But in all honesty, Matthews brings up a valid point: Republicans won't vote for the stimulus, yet the have no problem funding our dependence on foreign oil and business - something that actually leads to the outsourcing of American jobs.
