23 Senators say jobs should be priority of super committee

Senator Bernie Sanders announced that he joined 22 senators in calling for the congressional super committee to make jobs the top priority.

"Let us be very clear: our fiscal challenge is directly linked to the jobs crisis and we cannot solve the former without tackling the latter," the senators wrote in a letter to Leader McConnell.

The complete list of senators who signed the letter is after the jump. These senators should be awarded for trying to shift the conversation towards jobs, and hopefully it works. Unfortunately, not every senator signed on to this letter. Senator Claire McCaskill, for example, is already throwing in the towel on a jobs bill. Daily Kos teamed up with Jobs Now PAC to tell her to stand up for jobs. Sign our petition here.

After that, make sure your senator knows that you support a jobs agenda. And if you can, call the senators below and thank them for standing up for jobs.
